​​​​​Public Service at Freshers’ Week 2025: Supporting Students at UoM and MCAST

The Public Service is proud to be part of Freshers’ Week 2025, welcoming students at both the University of Malta and MCAST. This annual initiative reflects the Public Service’s ongoing commitment to being present, accessible, and supportive of young people as they embark on their academic journey

From 29th September to 3rd October, the Public Service will be present at the University of Malta, followed by 6th to 8th October at MCAST Paola. This year’s participation marks a significant expansion in both presence and services offered, with a focus on making essential support more reachable for students.

As in previous years, the Institute for the Public Services (IPS) has played a key role in supporting this initiative and will once again be present at the stand, offering students direct access to information about IPS schemes and the wide range of opportunities available to them.

At the Public Service stand, students can benefit from a variety of services and activities, including:

• Free Tallinja Card
• Police Conduct Certificates
• Health Promotion initiatives
• Maintenance Grants applications
• Interactive food challenges and wellness activities
• Information on IPS schemes and student opportunities

Students are encouraged to visit the stand to access services directly, ask questions, and engage in fun, informative activities that promote well-being and student life.

Freshers’ Week provides a unique opportunity for the Public Service to connect with students face-to-face, offering practical support and guidance in a friendly and approachable environment.
