IPS Student Scheme - Summer Plus Programme
A Sweet Gesture for a Meaningful Cause
On Wednesday, 29 October, the Institute for the Public Services joined the nationwide observance of Pink October with a heartwarming initiative that combined community spirit and charitable giving.
Staff members enjoyed lamingtons (known as Pasta Roża) with part of the proceeds going to the Marigold Foundation in support of breast cancer awareness. For every lamington purchased, a donation was made to help support the Foundation in its educational campaigns to raise awareness, educate and provide tools to help patients and other related initiatives.
In addition to the sweet treats, IPS employees wore pink attire to visually express solidarity with those affected by breast cancer. A commemorative group photo captured the moment, reflecting the institute’s commitment to social responsibility and collective action.
The event was a meaningful reminder of the importance of awareness, early detection, and support - and a testament to how small gestures can contribute to a larger cause.
